AI Video Motion Prompts: Make the Action Easier to Follow

Motion can become difficult to read when a prompt asks for several actions, a changing subject and a moving camera at once. Simplify the shot: name one primary action, clarify what should remain visually important, and choose compatible camera wording. This is a planning method, not a promise that a generated clip will preserve every detail.

Turn a scene into one observable action

Replace “make it dynamic” with a visible event: a person turns toward a window, a flower moves in a breeze, or a product rotates slightly on a surface. If the clip needs multiple beats, order them and remove secondary action that does not support the point.

Name the visual anchors

Identify the details viewers must track: face, product silhouette, label, horizon or subject position. Ask that they remain in view, but verify whether the result does so. Text instructions cannot guarantee exact identity, typography or geometry through generated frames.

Keep camera direction compatible

A static camera can make a single moving subject easier to evaluate. A tracking move can support a subject crossing the frame. Avoid combining a locked shot with an orbit, or a centered subject with an instruction to move out of frame. Test camera language as one variable.

Account for workflow and endpoint

Text-to-video starts from a written scene on routes such as Wan 3.0 Prime or Seedance 2.0. Image-to-video begins from an opening image, as in Wan 3.0 Prime’s separate I2V route. The best starting point depends on whether the first composition is flexible or already important. Check each endpoint for its own duration and output controls.

Review at multiple moments

Watch the start, middle, transition and final frame. Note when shape, position, light or motion changes unexpectedly. If a result fails, revise one element and rerun only if useful; repeated prompt variation without recording changes makes learning difficult.

Prompt or planning example

One action: a small paper boat drifts slowly across a still puddle. Keep the camera locked and the boat within the center third of the frame. Do not add a person, a second object or a camera orbit. Inspect the full clip for direction changes.

Adapt this starting point to the source image, destination and controls shown in the selected route. Keep the original where relevant, then compare the result against the specific details named in your brief. If a detail is factual, verify it from a trusted source before using the image.
